Get the LIVIN team at your next event

With a small specialist team operating throughout Australia, LIVIN are engaging with people on a stigma reduction and empowerment program called LIVINWELL. The program is designed to enhance mental health literacy and understanding around mental health challenges and suicide preventive measures among young people. Teaching people the skills at a young age, we aim to make a generational change.

LIVIN recently funded the “LIVIN Strong” pilot program in Townsville, North Queensland. The aim of the program was to equip the year 9 students with the tools and strategies be be able to thrive and survive in the 21st century. This pilot was an 8 week program which covered topics such as; Who am I, substance abuse, mental health and gratitude. It included a research and evaluation framework undertaken by Central Queensland University (CQU). Research findings will be published in 2018 and evidence based programs will be developed from the outcomes.

You can access a variety of services through LIVIN including:

  • Student, staff and parent LIVINWELL programs;
  • Workplace programs;
  • University programs.

Together we can break the stigma

Volunteering is a great way to get involved with LIVIN and help break the stigma of Mental Illness in Australia.

Obviously with LIVIN being in the growth stage we are always so grateful for the special people who volunteer their time and energy to help us co-ordinate events, fundraisers and help promote the messages of LIVIN and It Ain’t Weak To Speak throughout Australia and the rest of the world.

There are many benefits of volunteering with LIVIN – not only will you be working with a young, fun and exciting not-for-profit organisation with a contemporary approach but you’ll have the opportunity to develop new skills and gain new experiences! Other benefits include the ability to assist LIVIN’s growth and presence, make new friends, feel a sense of personal achievement and satisfaction, make positive impacts on people’s lives and also gain a better understanding of depression and anxiety and the types of help available. With your help you will help us to achieve our vision, mission and values!

We are currently looking for volunteers to assist us with so many aspects of our growing charity including:

  • Volunteers to help run/set up fund raising initiatives around Australia
  • Graphic design / fashion design
  • Counsellors, psychologist’s, life coaches, fitness professionals.
  • Corporate sponsorship and Partnership opportunities.
  • Schools, universities, mining, corporate, sports clubs involvement.
  • Software engineers.

So if you think you have a strong passion for mental health & suicide prevention and could assist in some of the above areas we want to hear from you. In the first instance, please contact us below by completing the online form.
